Visiting Hatta Soon? Visitors Issued Warning Ahead Of Going

Hatta is a popular destination to visit when the temperature drops.

As we enter winter season in the UAE, many families and friends will be taking trips to the mountain area to explore.

However, those thinking of visiting soon have been reminded to put safety first due to the current weather fluctuations in the country.

The Hatta Police Station has announced that extra precautions have been implemented in case of emergencies but advises visitors and drivers to exercise caution when in the area.

Brigadier Mubarak Al Ketbi, Director of Hatta Police Station, has warned against engaging in mountain climbing or ascending mountains, as well as visiting valleys during this time.

The police also have a plan of action for when rain occurs with patrols to cover all streets and signs to alert drivers.

“These patrols are equipped with special features for navigating rough terrains, such as specialised tires and the latest smart devices and technologies for communication with the command and control centre, along with all necessary rescue and support equipment,” he said.

He added that police personnel are highly trained to handle various types of emergencies around the clock.

The picturesque spot in the Hajar Mountains is just a 90-minute drive from Dubai and is often a place where the city’s residents visit to enjoy the great outdoors.
