Sheikh Mohammed Approves Phase II Of Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan

The Dubai city is consistently evolving, religiously following its 2040 Master Plan to become the world’s best city to live in.

In 2021, Dubai revealed its 2040 Master Plan, the next 20 years will see the emirate tackle ambitious plans, including increased public beaches by 400 percent.

Infrastructure will be further developed as well as urban areas will be revamped.

On December 12, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed has announced the second phase, and it sounds really good for those looking to shave time off traveling about the city.

The aim is to make Dubai a ’20-minute city.’ It means that residents will be able to access 80 percent of their daily needs and destinations within 20 minutes by walk or by motorbike.

Sounds exciting, right?

And this is not it, other highlights include calls for high-yield agriculture and farming by recognizing suitable locations and developing the facilities as well as infrastructure.

Other exciting proposals include that there will be a 25 percent increase in the spaces designated for educational and health facilities.
