Saudi Arabia Launches Personal Visit Visa Scheme

Saudi Arabia Announces Personal Visit Visa Scheme

Planning to visit Saudi Arabia? Well, you could be in luck as Saudi citizens will now be able to invite their Muslim friends to perform Umrah on a personal visit visa.

These personal visas can either be valid for 90 days with the single-entry option, or 365 days with the multiple entry option.

Within the scheme, you can also visit historical sites and cultural destinations in the Kingdom.

If you’re interested in applying, you can do so via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ visa platform.

Saudi’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah added that those visiting to perform Umrah must obtain an Umrah permit via the Nusuk app.

It comes as the Kingdom targets attracting 100 million visitors by 2030 under the Vision 2030 programme, with tourism expected to create more than one million jobs in the country. An exciting time for the region, the second outing of Time Out Riyadh’s Restaurant Awards is also coming up.

This week, the shortlist was revealed as we prepare to reveal the best places to eat in the Saudi capital.
