Is Dubai Hills Getting Its Own Metro Station?

Some areas are tricky to get to when traveling via public transport in Dubai.

However, one of Dubai’s most up-and-coming neighbourhoods, Dubai Hills Estate, could soon be getting its own Metro station located at Dubai Hills Mall.

Found next to Al Barsha South and along the Al Khail Road (E44) motorway, the area that has become popular to live in over the past few years has been and continues to be developed by Emaar Properties and Meraas Holding.

Suggesting that a Metro station is in the works, a newly-released investor document from Emaar claims that there are plans to see Dubai Hills Mall “seamlessly integrated with the adjacent neighbourhood” including “future Metro stations and adjoining hotels”.

At the moment, the nearest station is the Mall of the Emirates Metro Station in Al Barsha which is a 20-minute bus ride followed by a 20-minute walk to Dubai Hills Mall.

The location being linked to the Dubai Metro was also shared in August 2017, before the shopping spot was under construction. Dubai Hills Mall opened in February 2022 and has almost 600 retail shops and loads of restaurants.
