DXB To Welcome 85million Passengers This Winter

Dubai’s popularity is growing and the airport is only going to get busier.

In just the first half of the year, Dubai International Airport saw 41.6 million passengers and what’s more, this number is expected to soar to 85 million by the end of December.

It should come as no surprise as earlier this year DXB was named the world’s busiest international airport by ACI World for the ninth year in a row.

According to ACI World’s annual report, the Dubai-based airport had the most international passengers transiting through its doors.

In total, DXB welcomed a total of 66,069,981 passengers in 2022, which was 127 percent higher than the previous year.

In the last quarter of the year, DXB saw a whopping 19,729,155 passengers going through the airport, which marked the busiest period since pre-pandemic in 2019.

Dubai Airport is known for raising the bar when it comes to passenger travel experience. This year, it won the titles of Best Airport Worldwide and Best Airport in the Middle East at the Business Traveller Middle East Awards.

It was also named the winner of Gold for Best Customer Service by the International Business Excellence Award (IBXA).

DXB flies to 229 destinations across 99 countries on more than 88 international carriers.
