The emirate’s population has increased drastically in a year, meaning that Dubai is getting busier and busier with each passing day – making it difficult to move around the city which means getting around hotspots, like the marina, can take a while.

However, travel time around the neighbourhood has now been slashed by 20 minutes due to improvements introduced by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).

The RTA has already carried out improvements and quick traffic management solutions on Al Seba Street in the direction of Sheikh Zayed Road – Garn Al Sabkha Street intersection, which should mean getting around the area should only take 10 minutes.

This is the first step in easing Dubai Marina traffic flow, as well as increasing the safety level for road users in Dubai.

Dubai Marina Traffic Update

Traffic improvements on Al Seba Street include the construction of an extra exit on Al Seba Street in the direction of Garn Al Sabkha Street intersection at Dubai Marina, allowing for a capacity of 1,500 vehicles per hour.

This additional exit streamlines the traffic flow from Al Seba Street in the direction of the Sheikh Zayed Road – Garn Al Sabkha Street intersection.

The upgrade means cars can exit from the area in all directions, leading to the total capacity of exit lanes from Marina via Al Seba Street now allowing 2,400 vehicles per hour, an increase of over 266 percent.

It will help Dubai Marina traffic flow and reduce congestion on Al Marsa Street, particularly at the intersection with Al Sayorah Street which means the time to exit Dubai Marina area via Al Seba Street to Sheikh Zayed Road is reduced from 30 minutes to just 10 minutes, a 67 percent improvement.
