DRIFT Beach Closing For Summer From Next Weekend

With scorching heat rising up, the emirate’s beach clubs are closing their doors for the season. This time, it’s DRIFT beach, shutting down from July 16.

You’ve got two weekends left to visit the ever-chic beach club in Al Sufouh before it closes for five weeks. It is continually praised for its luxury vibe and stellar Mediterranean menu.

Planned to reopen on Saturday August 19, the beach club joins the line-up of alfresco venues that have closed their doors for the summer. These include Soul Beach, Tagomago, Terra Solis and White Beach, with Nikki Beach set to join them next month.

Before it closes next weekend, you can head to the popular spot for ladies’ day on Tuesday which grants women a sunlounger and glass of pink grape for Dhs75.

Or head there on Wednesday and get a complimentary sun lounger if you eat breakfast at 9am or 10am. With truffle scrambled eggs and DRIFT pancakes on the menu, it’s a rather elegant affair.

For a weekday lunch, the beach club offers a three-course meal for Dhs155 per person. Famed for its views of Dubai Marina and the Gulf, the Insta-hotspot is popular with tourists and residents alike. While expensive, its relaxed but sophisticated ambience draws in the crowds.

Dhs150 (sun lounger Mon-Fri), Dhs200 (sun lounger Sat-Sun). Open Mon-Thu, 9am-8pm, Fri-Sun, 9am-9pm. One&Only Royal Mirage, Dubai Marina, driftbeachdubai.com (04 315 2200).
