Brand New Gold Coins To Arrive In Dubai

Gold and silver bullion coins that celebrate the achievements of the UAE over the past 50 years are to be released in Dubai.

And they will no doubt be worth a dirham or two in a few years. So, keep your eyes peeled – because the coins will be available to purchase after Ramadan.

Wondering what the coins look like? There is a range of designs with His Royal Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai on.

The Louvre Abu Dhabi also stars in order to reflect the UAE’s standing as a significant global cultural destination.

It is yet to be revealed where people will be able to buy the new coins, made in collaboration with the Czech Mint, and how much they will cost.

Collectors will be aware that a new Dhs1,000 bank note started circulating in the UAE at the start of the year.

Not your average banknote, it’s made of polymer and boasts special security features which led to it bagging the Best New Banknote award at the Banknote and ID Document of the Year Awards.

As for the design, the brand-new note features the image of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

A model of a space shuttle is also seen and an image of an astronaut features as a security mark that appears on both sides of the banknote.
