Dubai Shopping Festival Launch Date Confirmed

Christmas is only 12 weeks away, and if you are waiting for Dubai Shopping Festival…well, it is just in time of Christmas.

The 38-day event, which sees shopping destinations around the city entice people with deals, competitions and savings, will begin on Friday December 8. Santa Claus is sure to be jolly about that.

Lasting until January 14, it’s the perfect opportunity to stock up on those gadgets and garms you’ve been eyeing for yourself or a loved one.

Dubai Shopping Festival isn’t just about retail therapy and usually the celebrations kick off with a ceremony and concert by regional music icons, plus cultural and family-oriented performances and live entertainment.

Usually, the festival includes other things such as fireworks and drone shows and, with it being around the time that Christmas markets pop up around Dubai, it’s sure to bring all the festive feels.

Not only that, one of the city’s most famous festive events is Madinat Jumeirah’s festive market which will be a merry affair starting on Friday December 15.

Free to attend and open 3pm until late on Mondays until Thursdays, and noon until late Friday through to Sundays, it will be the place to be when you’re after a cup of mulled grape, a magical abra ride, plenty of mince pies and Christmas tunes.
