Long Weekend Ahead For UAE Residents In September
Public holidays in the UAE always lead to residents getting days off from work.
And next month workers across the UAE (who work from Monday to Friday) will get a three-day weekend.
That’s because Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday is predicted to fall on Wednesday September 27, with the public holiday to commemorate the occasion falling on Friday September 29.
The UAE Government confirmed that Friday September 29 will be a public holiday on X, previously named Twitter, last year.

Prophet Muhammad’s birthday isn’t the last public holiday for 2023 as there are three more.
Commemoration Day will be marked on Friday December 1 and then National Day celebrations will take place from Saturday December 2 to Sunday December 3.
This means that workers in the UAE will have Friday December 1 off but the National Day public holidays will not equate to working days off, as they fall over a weekend, so most workers will be off anyway.
If you’re anything like us, you’ll be looking ahead to the UAE public holidays in 2024.
With 15 days to look forward to in 2024, it’s never too early to plan ahead so you can make the most of your time off.
