Dubai: Fly High In Giant Balloons, Enjoy Air Taxis, Ride A Horse & More In The Desert

Dubai loves to surprise the world. And this time, it has stunned everyone by carving out lakes out of the golden desert and building a thriving green oasis around them. The emirate gives a completely different view to residents and tourists, a short drive from the city offers an astonishing view of manmade lakes around Al Qudra. These include the heart-shaped Love Lakes and the Expo Lake carved in the shape of the Expo 2020 Dubai logo.

On Sunday, the officials confirm that the Saih Al Salam route (Route 1) will have the enhanced desert tourism experience.

It is part of a comprehensive plan to develop Dubai’s countryside approved by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The Saih Al Salam route will have visitors soar over the lakes in hot air balloons or air taxis. From unlocking a lake’s secret in a kayak to exploring the golden sands of the desert on a camel or horse, Route 1 has a lot of fun to offer.

Although it is virtually impossible to have a detailed overview, here is the bird’s eye view of the Love or Expo Lakes from the ground. Route 1 will offer the following:
