Dubai Women’s Run Will Be Returning In November

Dubai Women’s Run to be back in Dubai in November.

The female sporting event will take over Dubai Festival City on Sunday November 5 and those wishing to participate can sign up now.

Back for its 10th edition, this year’s race will have a sustainability theme and the event will be run using solar and human-generated power to run the Dubai Women’s Run Village and main stage.

All materials used for the race-day kit, including t-shirts, bags and route maps will be re-useable, using eco-solvent ink and recycled paper. Pretty cool.

Competitors have the choice of a 3km, 5km, and 10km race, with the first three winners of the 5km and 10km categories will be awarded cash prizes.

For 10km runners, the first prize will be Dhs5,000, second place will scoop Dhs3,000 and third place will walk away with Dhs2,000.

The first-place winner for the 5km run will take home Dhs3,000, Dhs2,000 will be awarded to second place and Dhs1,000 to third.

There are also junior runs for under 18s to take part in.

A popular event, organised by Plan b Group, in association with UAE Athletic Federation and Dubai Sports Council. The run will also champion female health and wellbeing.

Friends of Cancer Patients [FoCP] will also be available on-site on the event day with the Pink Caravan Medical Mobile Clinic offering free screenings and expert advice.
