Dubai Rugby 7s To Launch First-Ever Padel Tournament

A padel tournament, first of its kind, to happen in Dubai soon.

Emirates Dubai 7s is no longer reserved for rugby, netball and cricket as it will launch a padel tournament this year.

Named Rebound, the padel tournament will take place across the National Day weekend December 1 until December 3 and is open to those of all abilities.

With a wide range of categories available to enter, first-timers, intermediate and experienced players can compete and showcase their skills.

Padel players can bring their best swing forward as they compete across five custom-designed courts at The Sevens Stadium.

There will be parent and children categories, as well as the initial group stages to determine finalists for the knockout stages.

During the tournament, each team will take part in a minimum of three games during the group stage and game formats will vary by category.

For most categories, there will be six games to a set in the group stage and nine in the knockout stages, while the parent and kids categories will feature four games to a set in the group stage and six in the knockout stages.

Want to take part? Teams will receive an early bird discount if they sign up straight away, with entry fees costing Dhs350 per person and Dhs115 for kids.

From Saturday October 7, entry fees will increase to Dhs390 per person. All entry fees are inclusive of general admission access to the full Emirates Dubai 7s festival weekend.

A family-friendly event, there’s a festival-like atmosphere and post-sport concerts.
