Your Dubai Land Department Updates Will Now Be Sent To You On Whatsapp

Streamlining its services, Dubai Land Department announced on X that notifications will now be sent via WhatsApp. This means if you’re renewing your rent or having your property evaluated, you will now be able to track the progress through the messaging app.

The messages will update you on the progress of your application in both English and Arabic. The Dubai Land Department has completed two billion transactions since its establishment in 1960.

The government body handles everything to do with land and real estate in the Emirate. The regulatory body, RERA, also falls under the department.

Dubai’s property market is booming.

According to Property Finder’s data from August 2023, 81 percent of renters were looking for apartments, while 19 percent were searching for villas.

Among the tenants who wanted to rent a villa, 54 percent wanted unfurnished. Around 36 percent were after one-beds, 31 percent were looking at two-bedrooms, and 21 percent searched for studios. Among villas, three-bedroom houses were the most popular at 43 percent, while 35 percent of tenants searched for four-bedroom or larger.
