You Can Now Update Your Emirates ID Details From Anywhere

Great news for UAE residents – You can now update your Emirates ID details online!

The process for editing your details such as job, passport and nationality information has been streamlined due to UAE Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security (UAEICP) allowing changes to be made online (instead of in person).

Sure to make UAE residents’ lives easier, anyone needing to make updates can do so via the UAEICP’s website and via its app.

It’s an easy process as all you need to do is log in using your UAE Pass or username and password.

First, you need to select the service you require and then put in the needed application details.

If payment is needed you can also do this online and once you’ve completed the process you will be sent a new Emirates ID.

Don’t worry if you don’t want to use the online portals as you can still visit authorised customer happiness centres or approved typing offices.

If you live in the UAE then you must have an Emirates ID.

Emirates IDs are issued by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship to all UAE citizens and residents.

The identity card holds important information in its electronic chip such as the holder’s basic information, photo and biometric data and fingerprints.
