When Is The Next UAE Public Holiday After Islamic New Year?

Amidst the occasion of Islamic New Year, three-day long weekend is welcomed with open arms.

With so much to do, even during peak summer, it couldn’t have come at a better time. That’s because we’ve got another four public holidays to look forward to in 2023. Next up after Islamic New Year will be the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday.

This is expected to fall on Wednesday September 27, with the public holiday to commemorate the occasion falling on Friday September 29.

After that, there will be three more key dates – all of which fall in December. Commemoration Day will be marked on Friday December 1 and then National Day celebrations will take place from Saturday December 2 to Sunday December 3.

This means that workers in the UAE will have Friday December 1 off but the National Day public holidays will not equate to working days off, as they fall over a weekend, so most workers will be off anyway.
