Vacation In Dubai: A Holiday Costs Dhs1,015 For Every Hour Of Sunshine

When it comes to winter vacations, Dubai is the perfect destination to enjoy holidays in the sunshine.

Not least because temperatures in January reach an average of 24 degrees.

It’s the ideal spot for tourists seeking an escape from the cold of home in the early months of the year.

According to new data by a UK-based website, Dubai has rated in the top ten of the world’s best value winter sun destinations.

Ranking number six on the list, the research calculated that it would cost Dhs1,015 (£227) for every hour of sunshine that British tourists would gain per day in comparison to London.

With 6.41 hours of sunshine a day more than you’d get in England, Dubai averaged out at Dhs1,015 per hour of sunshine gained.

It was calculated that the holiday would cost Dhs1,458 for a holiday for two adults travelling from London. The total included return flights, a three-star hotel stay with two meals per day and one hop per day for one week.

The best value destination for gaining winter sun is listed as Marrakesh in Morocco with it being Dhs440 for every hour of sunshine gained.

Coming in second, is Cairo in Egypt which averages at a Dhs545 spend per hour of sunlight gained.

The third was Maderia in Portugal, followed by the Canary Islands’ Tenerife and Fuerteventura in fourth and fifth place respectively.

The most expensive winter sun destinations were Barbados in The Caribbean (at Dhs2,521 per hour gained) and San Diego in California at Dhs2,144 per hour of sunlight gained.
