UAE Residents Traveling To European Zone Won’t Need Visa Stamps Anymore

Are you planning to travel to Europe? Well, here is the great news for you!

Some nationalities are granted visa-free entry into the Schengen Area, whereas others must go through interviews and detailed procedures.

However, the European Parliament recently announced that, if you’re from outside the zone but want to travel inside it, you soon won’t need physical Schengen visa applications or stickers anymore.

The whole system has been digitised by Brussels, helping speed up the process and reducing the effort and costs required to complete an application.

Therefore, UAE residents traveling to Europe don’t need to go to an embassy, visa centre, or consulate, to submit the required documents and application form.

Instead, travellers will have to fill in an online application form and upload the Schengen visa required documents, including their scanned passport, recent photo, travel insurance, and other scanned documents.

According to Schengen Visa News, the price for a Schengen visa will remain the same as of now, which is €80 (Dhs317).

Nationals that are from certain countries benefiting from reduced application fees due to agreements made by particular Schengen countries, will continue to pay those reduced fees.

The 27 Schengen countries include Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.
