Take These Metro Routes To Avoid Traffic On Sunday Amidst Dubai Ride

Traffic is never fun for anyone, and this weekend, Sheikh Zayed Road will close as the Dubai Ride is taking place.

The event saw 34,897 participants last year and it’s expected to be the same this year. This means that if you are planning to get to the area to take part in the Dubai Fitness Challenge event you will need to make the most of the Dubai Metro.

If you don’t use public transport, let me tell you it’s super easy and cheap. And don’t worry because we’ve got all the details.

For the 12km ride, there are five starting points to choose from and this is how you get to them by taking Dubai Metro.

Museum of The Future

Starting the ride at the Museum of The Future? You have to take the Red Line and get off at Emirates Tower station.

Once you arrive go directly from the station via the link bridge that connects the station to the museum.

Al Satwa

If Al Satwa is your starting point for Dubai then you should note that the Metro doesn’t go to Al Satwa. The closest station is Emirates Towers on the Red Line. It’s about a 10-minute walk to Al Satwa.

Coca-Cola Arena

Going to cycle at Coca-Cola Arena? Take the Red Line to Burj Khalifa/ Dubai Mall station and it’s a 15-minute walk from there.

Business Bay

Business Bay Metro Station is on Dubai Metro’s Red Line making it an easy location to get to.

Lower Financial Street

If you are starting at the Lower Financial Street starting point then head to Financial Centre Metro Station on the Red Line and once you arrive take exit 2.

The Dubai Ride routes are open to the general public from 6:15am and all cyclists will commence their journey at 6:30am, concluding it at 7:30 am.
