New Bus Routes For Weekends: Dubai To Ras Al Khaimah For Dhs30

Dubai offers many affordable ways to explore the city and other emirates.

There’s the Dhs25 bus from Dubai to Hatta and now a budget-friendly way to visit Ras Al Khaimah has launched.

Easy to use, the new bus service goes from Dubai Mall to the main bus station in Ras Al Khaimah and a ticket is Dhs30 (for a one-way trip).

Families will be pleased to hear that kids under three can ride the bus for free.

As for the journey time, it will take around 1 hour 45 minutes.

The Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA) in cooperation with the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai and the Dubai Mall management has launched the new bus line and it’s expected to start running on Friday November 17.

The bus will only run on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

There are two round-trip trips a day, with trips departing from the main bus station in RAK, i.e. Al Hamra Bus Station in the Al Dhait area, all the way to the public bus stops in Dubai Mall.

The bus will leave from Dubai Mall at 7pm and 10.30pm; rides from Ras Al Khaimah to the city will begin at 2pm and 5pm.

Book and pre-pay for trips through the “RAKBus” smart application, which can be downloaded through the Apple Store and Google Play platforms.

See the trip schedule by visiting the Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority’s website.

RAKTA also runs a bus route to Global Village, which operates every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and costs Dhs30 one way. The bus leaves Ras Al Khaimah at 4pm and Global Village at 11pm.
