UAE Announces Public Holidays, Making It A 4-Day Long Weekend

On November 17, the UAE Government officials announced the 51^st National Day and Commemoration Day holiday for 2022. It will be a long weekend as the holidays will be from December 1 to December 4. Work will resume on December 5.

The gulf country celebrates the Commemoration Day on November 30 to celebrate the martyrs and remember their sacrifices. The day coincides with the date of the martyrdom of Salem Suhail bin Khamis, who died on November 30, 1971, while performing his national duty.

However, the Commemoration Day holiday has been merged together with the National Day celebrations this year.

An iconic official show will also be telecast on December 2 on all local TV channels as well as the UAE National Day official website.
