Flydubai To Launch Direct Flights To Popular Mediterranean Island

Planning your summer getaway? Then you will be glad to visit Med’s popular island, soon be only one flight away from Dubai.

The Italian island of Sardinia, which is the second-largest island in the Mediterranean Sea, will be connected with Dubai three times a week from June 22.

Operated by flydubai, the airline will fly to Sardinia’s regional capital Cagliari on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. When up and running, it will be the first time that flyers can jet directly to the island from DXB.

Saying ciao to a break in Italy is easy for UAE citizens as they can stay up to 90 days visa-free (bring on a summer of spritz’ and sunbathing).

If you stay in the capital then make sure to check out Aragonese chapels and the Martyrs crypt at Cagliari Cathedral, Poletto beach and San Benedetto market.

Other must-visit places are Su Nuraxi Nuraghe, which is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site and the small town of Bosa is worth exploring as its picture-perfect with pastel buildings, its own cathedral and a hilltop castle.
