First Look Inside The Etihad Rail Passenger Train; Top-Tier Cabins And More

We all have been eagerly waiting for the first glimpse inside the Etihad Rail passenger train. And now a video shot for Al Emarat TV and shared on X, formerly Twitter, shows its interiors for the first time.

So, what to expect? The clip shows rows of plush grey seats, carpeted flooring and large windows – perfect for seeing the sights on the journey.

It’s evident in the footage that there will be different seating options with some solo chairs that spin and reclining seats in top-tier cabins. Other touches include mirrors with backlighting and leather-panelled walls.

Another layout shows four seats around a large table — great for families and groups travelling together.

Compartments are separated with electric doors and TV screens display information, such as location and arrival times, in each section of the train.

The first stage of the railway network was finished in 2016 and construction of the second part started in 2020.

The track is now able to transport goods from Al Faya to the rest of the country. When the passenger train service is complete, it will connect 11 cities and regions across the UAE.
