Etihad Rail Update: Transport Time Slashed From 12 To 4 Hours

The UAE will soon get a new railway service. The Rail will provide services for connecting the emirates to each other as well as the Emirates to Oman.

The passenger train will make travel faster and more convenient between the emirates. Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah are now connected to the main line and the exciting new train service is set to transport passengers across the UAE by 2030.

According to the Etihad Rail Train, the track construction is 70 percent complete.

The railway will reduce carbon emissions by 70 to 80 percent and will also provide more than 9,000 jobs. The number of passengers is expected to reach 36.5 million annually by 2030.

The first train station will be built in Fujairah.
