Etihad Rail Partners With Uber For Pick-up And Drop-off Areas

Etihad Rail is one of the most highly-anticipated projects in the country, joining the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman over a 1,200km network.

The GCC’s first railway line just made a deal with Uber to make it all even more exciiting. an agreement has been signed that will “assess the possibility of creating an Uber dedicated pick-up and drop-off areas for passengers within stations to enable passengers to unify their journey planning”.

The pact came as the two parties met at the Middle East Rail event in May. When the passenger train service launches, about 400 people will be carried between 11 cities and areas across the UAE from Al Sila in the west to Fujairah in the north. It will mean you can travel from Abu Dhabi to Dubai by train in just 50 minutes.

The Etihad Rail track is already being used to transport freight across the country, going through some of the UAE’s most beautiful landscapes – including the mountains of Fujairah and the Al Maha Forest in Abu Dhabi.
