Emirates LitFest 2023: Writers Joining Brian Cox Has Been Revealed

To all the bookworms in Dubai, there isn’t long to wait for the LitFest event!

Book readers will be in a treat next month as the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature will celebrate its 15th anniversary from February 1 – 6.

The festival, which is running simultaneously at Intercontinental Dubai Festival City and Mohammed bin Rashid Library, is going to host a hot line-up of literary talent with several big names already being unveiled.

More and more names are being added to the list, even some of the Emirati speakers, writers, and content creators will be appearing at the event.

The line-up for 2023 features some of the most prominent speakers from the UAE’s cultural and creative sector such as HH Sheikha Latifa bint Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, HE Mohamed Ahmed Al Murr, HE Omar Saif Ghobash, Dr. Rafia Ghobash, Maisoon Saqr Al Qasmi, Dr. Habib Al Attar, Dr. Raja Al Gurg, Major Ali Al Suwaidi, Ali Al Saloom, Nujoom Al Ghanim and more.

Moreover, ticketholders can expect a series of panels, workshops, and sessions all of which will be offered in English as well as Arabic.

This year, the festival will have a “Bil Emirati” theme, covering the recent developments in the publishing industry, sustainability, cultures, literature, and more.

Last year, book lovers found out that huge names will be descending on the city as part of the festival.

Standout names include Succession actor Brian Cox along with former UK MP and world-famous novelist Jeffrey Archer.

They will be joined by PS, I Love You author Cecelia Ahern as well as Alexander McCall Smith, Mohsin Hamid, Shashi Tharoor, Reza Aslan and Qasim Haddad.
