Eid Al Adha Official Holiday Announced For UAE

Badly need a break from the hustle and bustle of life? Well, good news is you will get to enjoy six-day Eid Al Adha holiday break across UAE.

The official Eid al Adha holiday will take place from Tuesday June 27 to Friday June 30, for public sector workers, with work officially starting again on Monday July 3.

The news was confirmed in a circular issued by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), confirming plans for Arafat Day and Eid al Adha.

While the announcement only applies to public sector workers, the expectation is that the private sector will follow suit across the UAE.

Arafat Day and Eid al Adha will be the third and fourth major public holidays of the year, after New Year’s Day and Eid al Fitr.
