Dubai’s RTA To Sell Off Premium Three, Four And Five Digit Car Number Plates

Just bought your dream car? Well, you will want to head to Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) website to register for its latest number plate auction.

The RTA has 350 number plates of 3, 4 and 5 digits for private and vintage vehicles bearing (A-H-I-J-K-L-M-N-O-P-Q-R-S-T-U-V-W-Y) codes.

Plates on offer at this 72nd online auction also include licensing plates (M 535), (T 451), (L 69069), (A 50052), (V 1107), (V 5567), (T 2223), (R 33434).

Registration for this online auction is open now, and will start at 8am on Monday July 31. It will last for five days.

Each bidder is required to have a Traffic File opened in Dubai, deposit a security cheque of Dhs5,000 made to the RTA, and pay an un-refundable participation fee of Dhs120.

Remember that if you win a number plate, you’ll also have to pay five percent VAT.
