Dubai To Have 28,000 New Trees Across The City

The emirate is all set to look much greener.

Rove Hotels has pledged to plant 28,000 trees across Dubai as part of a sustainability drive in the run-up to COP28 UAE.

The summit is taking place at Expo City, where Rove has a hotel, and the climate talks will see representatives from all over the world come together to discuss the planet’s climate crisis.

COP meetings include negotiations and debates with the aim of reviewing progress towards the overall goal of limiting climate change.

Rove Hotels have shared that they will plant one tree for every room booked during the COP28 period from Thursday November 30 to Tuesday December 12.

Paul Bridger, the COO of Rove Hotels, said: “We are thrilled to announce this initiative in which we will plant at least 28,000 trees by the end of the year. This project reflects our determination to impact the environment and support the UAE’s efforts positively. By planting trees for every booking, we aim to inspire others to join us in the fight against climate change.”

The hospitality brand is carrying out this project with Eden Reforestation Projects, an NGO devoted to ecosystem restoration and climate change mitigation.

You can find nine Rove Hotels in Dubai; Rove Downtown, Rove Expo 2020, Rove Dubai Marina, Rove City Centre Deira, Rove Healthcare City, Rove Trade Centre, Rove at the Park, Rove La Mer Beach and Rove City Walk.
