Dubai: School Dates Announced For 2023-2024 Academic Year

The kids have been back in school since Monday August 28, with parents around the city juggling packed lunches, doing the school run and making sure the PE kits are ready.

Now in half term, the next holiday for kiddos of school age will be the winter break (also known as the Christmas holidays).

Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has confirmed the dates for the school year ahead.

As for when the 2023/2024 academic year will wrap, the estimated dates have also been shared by the KHDA.

Here are the Dubai school dates for 2023-2024 academic year:

• Start of the academic year: Monday August 28.
• Start of winter break: Monday December 11.
• Resumption of classes after winter break: Tuesday January 2.
• Start of spring break: Monday March 25.
• Resumption of classes after spring break: Monday April 15.
• The academic year is not to end before Friday June 28.
