Dubai Parents Can Now Pre-book RTA Taxis For School Pick-ups

No matter where you live in the world, the school run can be stressful.

From getting kids ready for school to facing the traffic everyday, there is a lot to consider. But not anymore in Dubai.

Parents in the Emirate can now pre-book online taxis for school pick-ups and drop-offs.

Dubai’s Road and Transport Authority (RTA) made the announcement on Tuesday – and you have the option to pre-book daily, weekly or monthly. The new scheme is particularly targeted to help parents in areas not covered by school buses.

You can book through the RTA’s Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) app – available on Apple and Android. The app now has a specialist “In-Safe Hands” service dedicated to help parents.

An RTA statement notes that the new feature “enhances the confidence, happiness and security of the taxi service.”

It also “diversifies the channels of delivering services to customers besides ensuring the fast processing and tracking of customer requests.”
