Dubai Creek Tower Megaproject To Restart Within Months

Burj Khalifa is the record-breaking building in Dubai, and Dubai Creek Tower could be set to join the city’s skyline as another awe-inspiring feat of engineering. It is currently being redesigned, according to Emirates News Agency (WAM).

Located near Ras Al Khor National Wildlife Sanctuary, Dubai Creek Tower was set to have a 360-degree viewing deck inspired by the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. There were also plans for a café, a central plaza featuring shops, a museum, and an indoor auditorium.

The plan was initially put together by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in October 2016.

Initially set to be completed by 2021, progress stalled – but the hope is now that construction will restart in August 2024.

And developer Emaar is expecting to reveal new details about the concept by April 2024. It comes as Dubai’s most iconic road, Sheikh Zayed Road, is getting a new tower.

Habtoor Tower will be the next megaproject to transform the skyline, with 81 floors and 1,701 housing units.

Al Habtoor Group, the team behind the project that will tower high up above Al Habtoor City, say the building will boast ultra-luxurious living facilities.
