BookHero Offers Free Books For Students This Month

You can pick up four free books in Dubai this month.

Yes, BookHero is running a giveaway for students on their academic books from now until Monday September 4.

All you need to do is head to the branch in Oasis Mall on Sheikh Zayed Road between 10am and 10pm and show proof of your enrollment in education. There will be between 700 and 800 titles to choose from on a range of subjects, so you can pick them based on your area of study.

Every student will be allowed to choose four free academic books. Why? Because BookHero believes in paying it forward.

You might know BookHero from the unmanned book stalls across the city. There are five stands in total with locations including Dubai Outlet Mall, Sports City, The Market Mall and Umm Suqeim Park. Books are priced from Dhs10 to Dhs20 and there is an ‘honesty box’ to place the money in.

The book brand was established in 2010 with an aim to help people read books at an affordable price. Along with the low-price book stands, BookHero also sends books to underdeveloped countries while raising money at the same time.

Proceeds from the book sales also go to funding an animal welfare helpline that answers around 40,000 inquiries a year. The money goes to sterilising around 1,700 cats a year.

The branch in the Oasis Mall is the brand’s flagship outlet which also runs academic book swaps throughout the year.
