A New 5-Star Hotel Has Opened Near JLT

Making its debut within Dubai’s up-and-coming neighbourhood Uptown Dubai, adjacent to JLT, the SO/Uptown Dubai hotel brings a slice of luxury to the area.

The five-star ‘urban resort with a rebellious twist’ is being positioned as a fashion and art hotel.

SO/ Uptown Dubai is located within Uptown Tower, the first of two supertall towers that will crown Uptown Dubai, the latest district master developed by DMCC. Uptown Tower is 340 metres high and is set to deliver unique F&B outlets, hotels, and public amenities.

The new property features 188 design-led rooms and suites. Think marble bathrooms, rich fabrics, and dark wood finishes. High ceilings mean plenty of natural light to create voluminous, open spaces and, of course, you’ll get to enjoy panoramic views over the city, Ain Dubai and the Arabian Gulf.

SO/ Uptown Dubai will be home to five in-house concepts including all-day dining spot Uptown Brasserie, Asian fusion restaurant The Citronelle Club, Savant Mixology Bar, which has scenic views, Celeste, an entertainment-led dining experience and the laid-back ambience of Lazuli, the hotel’s signature pool bar.

Occupying the top 28 floors of the Uptown Tower are 227 branded residences, which include one, two, and three-bedroom apartments, as well as duplexes and a penthouse.

Residents will have access to an indoor pool, a fully-equipped gym, a kids club and creche, the Sky Lounge, and a versatile events space that transforms into a private screening room for ultra-luxe movie nights.

SO/ Uptown Dubai offers its guests the Uptown Spa by SO/, developed and run in partnership with the French luxury skincare brand, Anne Semonin Paris. Designed as an urban retreat, with a burst of natural light the Uptown Spa by SO/ features wellness treatments.
