A Floating Padel Court Has Just Opened In JLT

Fan of padel? Here is good news for you!

A new padel court has just opened in JTL area, and it might just be one of the coolest yet. Helming from Sweden, PadelX Floating Court is a padel court on water.

Located on Jumeirah Lake Towers and is open to book for games, it is the first JLT padel court to open among the residential and office buildings.

Near Cluster I (next to Pitfire Pizza) there are two courts available to rent, starting from Dhs200 per hour.

The padel court will be opened from 6am until 11pm daily. So, how about a game of padel while enjoying the beautiful view?

Each of the courts has a clear Perspex wall to protect the balls from landing in the lake, so you don’t have to worry about it.

Along with allowing people to rent the courts and hit balls with their friends, Padelx Floating Club is also planning on hosting events including fashion shows.

Sofie Källström, the chief executive officer of Padelx said, “We believe an active lifestyle should be fun, and this special court is a testament to that. With former Al-Hilal football players Christian Wilhelmsson and Sami Al-Jaber as partners of the company, Padelx has set out to inspire a “movement of move” in the UAE. And Padel is seen as the ultimate sport for achieving that in the easiest way.”

Padel sport is known as a cross between squash and tennis. According to Christian Wilhelmsson, the executive business developer at Padelx, “Padel is easy to learn, fun to play and rewarding.”
