Macklemore To Perform In Dubai This October

No Bad Days are coming as American rapper Macklemore is set to perform at the Coca-Cola Arena in October.

The music star, famed for hits such as Thrift Shop, Can’t Hold Us and Glorious, will perform on Saturday October 28.

Tickets can be snapped up for Dhs199 on the arena website and they’re on sale now. Macklemore, real name Benjamin Hammond Haggerty, began his career in 2000 as an independent artist.

He then became a big name when he collaborated with producer Ryan Lewis and the pair released the The VS. EP in 2010 and went on to release album The Heist in 2012.

Lead single Thrift Shop reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart with over six million downloads and receiving tens of millions of YouTube views.

Another hit they’re known for, Can’t Hold Us, reached number one on the Hot 100 Chart and made the pair the first duo in music history to have their first two singles reach the top of the pop charts.

In 2014, they scooped up four Grammy Awards for Best New Artist, Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song and Best Rap Album.

The duo were also nominated for Best Music Video for Can’t Hold Us, Song Of The Year for Same Love and Album Of The Year for The Heist.
