Immersive Van Gogh X Japan Exhibition Is Coming To Dubai

There’s a new Van Gogh exhibition in Dubai this week. Opening at the Theatre of Digital Art, tickets are on sale now.

Titled Van Gogh X Japan, the digital event explores the relationship between the Japanese Ukiyo-e style and Van Gogh’s paintings. A story told from the 360-degree perspective, the walk-through gallery exhibition is running from Friday July 14 to Monday July 31, from 10am to 10pm.

Tickets are Dhs110 for adults and Dhs59 for kids aged three to 11. If you’re going as a family (with at least three people and a minimum of two adults), you can purchase your tickets as a family bundle, which will cost Dhs72 each.

The digital show takes approximately one hour to 120 minutes to walk around, but if you want to upgrade your experience there are a number of workshops you can take part in too.

Ikebana Workshop

A flower arranging workshop, it costs Dhs350 per person to attend.

Ukiyo-e is a dreamy style of Japanese art directly translating to ‘pictures of the floating world’. Gaining popularity from the 17th to 19th centuries, the images largely focus on landscapes, women and folk tales.
