Popular Restaurant Farmacy To Open Pop-Up In Dubai

London-famed veggie restaurant Farmacy is coming to the city.

The eatery will open a pop-up at Goals House in Alserkal Avenue between Thursday, November 30 and Wednesday December 6.

The restaurant is the brainchild of food activist and entrepreneur Camilla Fayed. Started in 2016 in Notting Hill, London, Farmacy is known for its sustainable approach towards food and for serving up nutrient-rich, plant-based grub.

All dishes are made from scratch with 100 percent organic ingredients with no dairy, no sugars, no additives and no meat.

For its stint in the UAE, Farmacy has partnered with Watermelon Market, an up-and-coming, UAE-based sustainable sourcing platform, to serve local and organic food.

The pop-up coincides with the 28th edition of COP28, the UN Climate Conference, held at Expo City.

During its time in Dubai, Farmacy will also release the book Manifesto on the Future of Food, which will be available at Aussie lifestyle store GEORGES in Dubai. The book explores the topics of soil ecology, industrial agriculture, the medicinal qualities of food, the gut-brain axis and regeneration.

And come Tuesday December 5, you can see Indian activist and scholar Dr Vandana Shiva at Farmacy. She’ll be there on World Soil Day as part of Farmacy’s campaign to ensure food, agriculture and soil are at the forefront of the climate conversation.

From Thurs Nov 30 to Wed Dec 6. Goals House in Alserkal Avenue.
