New Italian Restaurant To Open In Place Of Marina Social After Summer

Marina Social has officially announced to close its doors. It was launched by British chef Jason Atherton in 2015, the Dubai Marina restaurant space will now be replaced by a brand-new Italian concept called Papa’s Cucina Italiana.

Papa’s will be opened and operated by Solutions Leisure Group, the team behind Lock, Stock & Barrel, Asia Asia, En Fuego and also KOYO which is housed in the same hotel.

The outpost is said to be inspired by the classic Italian trattorias, expected to be family-friendly presenting a menu rich in classic Italian flavour combinations informed by the seasons, and modern cooking takes on traditional favourites, all made to share.

Located on the first level of the InterContinental, the space also boasts an outdoor terrace, with stunning views of the marina.

Marina Social featured a bar, which we are sure will be a lively space when Papa’s opens its doors after summer. This is Solution Leisure Group’s 19th venue in the UAE. The hospitality company has restaurants across venues like Intercontinental Dubai Marina, Atlantis, The Palm, Rixos Premium, Seven Tides and many more.

The group is also busy opening its hugely popular restaurant Asia Asia on Palm Jumeirah later this year. It will be launching at Andaz The Palm in October. Spread over 10,000 square feet, the venue will replace Hanami and include a large terrace with views of Atlantis The Royal and Burj Al Arab.

Papa’s is anticipated to open in the winter of 2023.
