Iconic Babel Restaurant Relocates To Dubai Mall’s Fashion Avenue

Babel is back after relocating from La Mer to Dubai Mall’s Fashion Avenue.

The restaurant, which was set up in Lebanon’s Dbayeh in 2009, serves a twist on Mediterranean classics and diners can expect the same menu as its previous outpost on the beachside area in Jumeirah 1.

Think mezze and grills to seafood (there’s not a fish market like its La Mer branch boasted but a dedicated fresh seafood display) and dishes including caviar smokey hummus, kebbeh nayeh, falafel truffle, smoked short ribs and baklawa.

The eatery has an open-style kitchen plus indoor and outdoor spaces. Hello to Dubai’s Fountain Views!

Sandstone walls, grand arches and seating areas filled with a mix of Himalayan salt pink-toned, pigeon blue and aubergine purple furniture make for a trendy space.

Moden halo-style light features hang from the ceiling and the walls are lined with shelves filled with books and knick-knacks such as vases and plants.

Babel has a presence in Lebanon, Kuwait, Egypt, and Qatar. The brand now has an expanding portfolio of restaurants across the region in the UAE, Iraq, and Greece.
