Dubai’s Most Expensive Gastro-Theatre Restaurants Opened Now

KRASOTA Dubai is described as an immersive gastro-theatre destination by the team behind Moscow’s famous White Rabbit restaurant.

Set to open its doors at The Address Downtown Hotel in Dubai on April 15, KRASOTA offers a combination of “visual art, haute cuisine, and advanced technology” to create a unique dining experience.

The restaurant is an immersive project that aims to collide visual fine arts with fine dining. When it launches, you’ll be able to experience dinner surrounded by paintings of international artists of the late 19th, and early 20th centuries.

You won’t be seated in a regular dining room, it’s more of an auditorium with a large circular table for 20 diners, with a pixel-perfect 3D multimedia performance projected across the curved walls and flashed over the table. Every act of the gastro-performance matches each course of the set menu.

Chef Vladimir Mukhin is the brains behind the KRASOTA theatre, while film director and co-owner, Anton Nenashev brings the art to life through interactive installations, 3D projections, and custom AI designs.

The dinner show begins with a welcome amuse-bouche, eight courses and eight visual acts, with two signature mixed drinks served in the intervals.

Dubai is no stranger to this type of lavish dining. At Dhs5,000 per person, Sublimotion at Mandarin Oriental Jumeira is probably one of the most extra dinners you’ll come across in Dubai. The concept launched in Ibiza in 2014 and made its debut in Dubai in 2021, and has since established itself as an over-the-top culinary experience.

The experiential dinner offers ten whimsical courses that transform the entire dining room with every dish. The theatrical show includes 360-degree screens with imagery projected onto every surface, from the walls to the table, and an expert team of chefs, designers, directors, technicians and musicians all contribute to this experience.

But it’s exciting to see a little variety in this segment of the Dubai restaurant scene.
