After passing one year of employment, you will be given 30 calendar days of paid leave annually.
Under UAE law, if the worker is still employed or if their service ends, they can ask for cash if they’ve got annual leave left over.
The Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation made the clarification on Twitter.
The mandate states that workers can carry forward unused annual leave or part of it upon agreement with the employer.
In addition, they may agree with the company to receive a cash allowance and if the worker’s service ends, they shall be paid a cash allowance for what they are owed.
